Reviews and Ratings
I had a great stay at this hotel during my road trip. It's a convenient stop between Arenal and Monteverde with clean, basic rooms and an amazing breakfast made by the lovely owners. The service was exceptional; they went out of their way to ensure we had a good experience. However, the rooms are quite small and not a resort by any means, so if you're looking for luxury, you might not want to stay here.
I had a lovely experience staying at Hotel Cielo Azul. The surroundings are peaceful with stunning views of the countryside. The owners are incredibly warm and welcoming, making my stay even more special. While the room was basic, it was clean and had all the necessary amenities. I truly appreciated the quiet atmosphere and the ability to explore nature just outside the door, though I can imagine it could get a bit hot in the summer without A/C. Overall, it's a great spot for a budget-friendly stay near Arenal and Monteverde.
I had a lovely experience at this hotel. The owner, Alvaro, was incredibly gracious and made sure we felt at home. The cabins were spacious and clean, with a nice private deck where I enjoyed breakfast surrounded by beautiful landscaping. However, I did wish for slightly better access to town as it felt a bit secluded at times. Overall, a great place to unwind with nature and enjoy some tranquility.
This hotel was a delightful surprise during my unplanned stopover. The rooms, while basic, were spacious with high ceilings and excellent A/C, making for a comfortable night. I was especially impressed with the home-cooked breakfast the next morning—a real treat. However, the service, while warm and welcoming, could be stretched thin during busy times. Overall, it's a great spot for a good night's rest between destinations.
I had a really enjoyable stay at this hotel. The atmosphere was relaxing, and I loved that it was family-owned - that personal touch made a big difference. The breakfast was fantastic, and the view from the room was breathtaking. However, the room did feel quite basic, and if you're accustomed to A/C for comfort, you might want to reconsider. Overall, it was a great stop between Arenal and Tamarindo.
